Chapter 869 Judy's POV I didn't like the idea of Megan Churchill sitting in the hospital for 23 years... kept alive by only machines. Gavin decided that bringing Eliza along would benefit us; she could tell us exactly what was wrong with Meg and how we could fix her. Then maybe we can bring Meg home and introduce her to her daughter. I caught Gavin up a little bit on our way to the packhouse; it was later in the evening, so we knew that Eliza and Taylor would be at the packhouse around now. I told him a bit about the curse and why we needed to get to Meg.
Gavin pulled up to the packhouse and parked the car. After a beat of silence, he got out of the car and ran around to the passenger door to open it for me, offering me his hand. My cheeks heated as I took his hand, allowing him to pull me to my feet. I stood close to him; my eyes wide from his sudden close proximity, and my cheeks growing even hotter. "I have a few more for the protest," I heard a familiar voice say from around the corner of the nearby shrubbery. The shrubs almost hid us so that we couldn't be seen, but the voices carried as if they were right next to me..... speaking to me.
"They also don't want her as our Luna." "Good," the other familiar voice said. "She won't make a good Luna. Alpha Gavin has to see that. He should pick someone more in his league and someone we can trust." "Save your speech for the rally," the other voice chuckled. "We need to get back to work so we can go home." The voices faded as they walked away, and I was left frozen in place. Gavin's eyes were trained on my face the entire time, and I could tell without looking at them that they were dark and he was holding himself back.

ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ FindN0vel.net "What the hell was that?" He asked, his voice low and dangerous. I swallowed the lump in my throat and refused to look him in the eyes because of pure shame. "That was the she-wolves of your pack not wanting me as the luna," I murmured, my cheeks heating again, only this time for a different reason. "How long had this been going on?" He asked. "You aren't surprised by their words, so I'm assuming you've heard them before." I bit my lower lip, nibbling on it slowly. "Yes," I said, my voice dropping to a whisper.
"I've heard them speaking like this before." "Oh, Hey Gavin... hey Judy," Eliza said as she stepped out of the newly parked car. I blinked, not realizing another vehicle had just pulled up. Beta Taylor got out of the driver's side as Eliza stepped out of the passenger side. She looked tired, and from her white trench coat, I knew she was heading home from work. But despite her tiredness, she still managed to smile at me. "Hey, Eliza," I said in return. "Beta Taylor." Taylor smiled at me as he draped an arm around his mates. "Everything okay?
You two look like you're in a heated discussion," he commented, staring between the two of us. "Actually, I need to steal your mate for a few hours," Gavin said, his eyes finding Elizabeth's. "We have a situation in Yellowstone." Eliza raised her brows and then looked at Taylor. "I suppose our night alone will have to be put on hold," she told him, letting out a breath. "I do apologize, My Love." He sighed as well and kissed her cheek lovingly. "I'll get you to myself one of these days," he assured her.
"And then I won't let you out of our bed." "You two are sickly cute," I commented, a smile stretching across my lips and making them laugh. "So, what's going on?" Eliza asked. "We'll explain it on the way," Gavin assured her. "But it's important. I wouldn't pull you away at this hour if it weren't." She nodded, understanding in her face. "Okay, let me just pack a few things," she said, pointing over her shoulder at the packhouse. "I'll be back momentarily." "I'll come with you," Taylor said as he jogged alongside her.
Their voices faded as they disappeared into the packhouse, and then Gavin turned to look at me again concern clear on his face and my heart tugged in my chest "It's okay," tell him before he has the chance to say anything. "Irene's been helping me become more Luna like. I prove to them that I can good Luna." be Gavin's eyes widened. "That's the reason you've been taking lessons?" He asked. My cheeks heated when I realized what I just confessed to. "Yes," I admitted. "I'm sorry for not telling you the truth sooner.
I didn't want to start issues in your pack, and you already have so much going on. This was one problem that could deal with on! going to kill on my own. Imm mem with kindness I prove to them that I can be a good Luna." FindNovel.net
