Chapter 831 Judy's POV There was one woman in this world who knew exactly what had happened 23 years ago in that hospital. One woman who took part in what had happened and probably could answer all the questions that I had. One woman who disappeared because of what had happened. Coraline Blackwell, Zachary's sister. The first time I heard her name was at the Blackwell manor when Selene mentioned that Zachary lost contact with his sister years ago. Cora, as they call her, had no wolf... she was mostly witch, like their mother.
Zachary, on the other hand, though he had traces of witch in his bloodline because of his mother, was more wolf and wasn't born with the powers of a witch. I needed answers about what happened at that hospital the day I was born, and I needed to find out how I can help Irene in the process. Seeing her broken up over a siren and unable to sense her own mate was heartbreaking. I needed to find out who the true owner of that Moon Gem is, so they can break whatever connection she has towards Chuck. Or maybe Cora would be able to break it herself. It was worth a try.
Thankfully, Erik is a great hacker and did some inside work, hacking into Zachary's database. It was easier than he anticipated, and he would do just about anything to break Chuck's hold on Irene. The moment I called him, he was all for doing whatever he needed to do. Neither of us believed that Zachary had any idea where Cora was. That was his little sister after all, and just because he hadn't spoken to her in years, it didn't mean he didn't keep tabs on her to make sure she was well.

So, collectively, we figured we'd find something about her whereabouts in his database, and we were correct. It only took a couple of hours, but soon, Erik was sending me an address. Cora's last known address. It was a few hours away from the Silver Crescent Pack. Gavin stared at me with disdain when I told him that I found Coraline Blackwell. The silence in the room was so thick I could cut it with a knife. "What do you mean you found Coraline Blackwell?" He finally asked, slicing through the silence. "I mean... I found her..." I said, sucking my bottom lip into my mouth. "Well, actually.
Erik found her. But I asked him to." "You're talking about Zachary's sister?" He asked. I nodded, my cheeks heating as he stared at me like I had just grown another head. "I know it's a long shot... but I was hoping she could provide some answers," I admitted. "Answers to what?" His voice was growing louder, and I could tell he was getting upset. "She was there that night, Gavin. The night I was born... the night Lila was born. She was the one who put the magic in the Moon Gem. Magic that doesn't respond to Lia with anything other than anger.
That gem doesn't belong to Lila, and I think Cora might know the reason behind that." "What are you hoping to gain from this?" Gavin asked, narrowing his eyes at me. "Why does it matter if the gem doesn't respond to Lila in the way she thought it would? It doesn't have anything to do with you." His words were like a slap in the face, and I found myself taking a step away from him like he had shoved me. My wolf stirred uncomfortably inside of me, not appreciating bow he was speaking to us and not appreciating what he had to say.
"Because a person who owns that much power is strong enough to be able to break the hold Chuck has on your daughter," I said through my teeth, hating that tears were burning in my eyes. I blame it on pregnancy hormones. "She's not happy, Gavin. She's miserable, and I hate seeing her like this. Don't you?" I asked, my brows pinching together. "Of course I do. But-" "But nothing," I said, affectively cutting him off. "This is Irene we are talking about, Gavin. We can't do nothing.
We need to figure out how to break that bond." Chapters fırst released on fіndnovel.net "Distance will break it," Gavin said, shaking his head. "That's how it always worked with sirens. To break their bond, you need distance. She has to go no contact. No, nothing, and eventually it'll fade." "It's hurting her, though, and I can't stand to watch it happening. It's hurting both her and Erik. He's her fated mate, and he can't claim her because of all of this. It's not fair to either of them. Irene deserves to have her happily ever after.
She deserves to have a chance at finally having that true love. She's been hurt so many times already... It's time that it ends. Plus, I have a feeling Cora can answer more questions than we have."
