Chapter 700
Upon my arrival at the hospital, Elizabeth was already present in the waiting room, evidently informed by Taylor of my impending visit. As I caught sight of her, my wolf stirred, bracing for a potential confrontation. Through gritted teeth, I asserted, "Don't attempt to hinder me. I must see her."
"I had no intention of stopping you, Alpha," she responded, catching me off guard. "However, there is something I must discuss with you before you proceed." Her grave and concerned expression sent a shiver down my spine, halting me in my tracks. "What is it?" I inquired. "What transpired?"

"Did Judy consume any food or drink at the gathering?" she inquired. Recalling the event, I furrowed my brow. There had been a lavish spread before the Alpha's address. Judy had declined wine but accepted juice. She had also sampled a few items from a passing tray, though sparingly. "Yes," I confirmed. "She had some juice and a bit of the food from a platter. I also had a taste."
"Was the juice unsealed?" she interjected. "It arrived in a glass," I clarified. "Initially, the staff offered her wine, which she declined, stating she wasn't imbibing that evening. Subsequently, they substituted it with juice." Eliza nodded thoughtfully. "What is it?" I pressed, my patience waning.
"She not only had Moonshade in her system but also traces of Wolfbane," she disclosed. My heart skipped a beat. "What?" I exclaimed. "I wanted to assess its presence as a precaution due to the blood... I didn't attribute it solely to stress. The results were delayed but indicated the existence of Wolfbane," she explained. "I suspect it triggered the near miscarriage. Upon her arrival, she was sedated and left... I believe they were awaiting the effects of the Wolfbane. The IV administered to her also contained traces of it, though I managed to remove them before significant harm occurred. However, her wolf has been severely affected, rendering it incapable of safeguarding the baby for now... until she recuperates. Rest and minimal stress are imperative."
"I refrained from divulging the Wolfbane's presence to her, fearing it would exacerbate her distress... I did, however, inform her of the other details before discovering the Wolfbane and her weakened wolf state. Regrettably, she cannot bear further burdens at present." I nodded, my fists clenching and releasing in a display of escalating anger. I recognized the necessity of tempering my emotions before facing her. Judy was already under immense strain, particularly with her wolf's current inability to protect the unborn child. Without a word, I turned away and swiftly departed the hospital.
Shedding my clothes as I shifted into my wolf form, I sprinted into the open forest, unleashing a mindlink to Taylor. "Identify the individuals from the Redmoon Pack who were on duty during the gathering. Someone from there drugged my mate, and they will face dire consequences."
