---- Chapter 260 [Third-Person's POV] Alexander spent the majority of the morning reading through all the findings the lab had uncovered from the fingerprints that had been collected from the scene back at Silverwood. Fiona's prints were, indeed, caught and captured on the handle of the blade that was left behind. It was hard to believe that someone who always remained so diligent in her work, would make such a foolish move. Foolish move or not, it ended up being a stroke of luck for them in the end.
Obviously, Fiona had forgotten about the blade as she and the rest of the group fled the scene as swiftly as possible. Alexander couldn't help but wonder if she was even aware of the fact that the knife wasn't in her possession. Oh, well The other reports confirm that both Isabella and Samantha were at the scene of the attack as well. However should they be granted some sort of defense lawyer, they could easily claim that the prints weren't new. After all, the attack had taken place at their home. It would be highly expected for their prints to be all over the house.

---- What Alexander really wanted was to have Evelyn sit down with him and discuss the matter. Perhaps, there were some ideas she would be able to provide that he happened to overlook. She'd done it during Michael's case, maybe there was a chance they would be able to swing another victory in the courtroom. Although, things were going to be much different than before. This time, they weren't up against just one person-now they were trying to convict three. On the plus side, Alexander already possessed prior documentation of Fiona's previous offense.
The fact that she already had her medical license suspended would be a good opener for the jury to take into consideration. "What has Evelyn been up to today?" Alexander asked while flipping through some of the files. Oliver glanced over his own pile and answered. "She is currently meeting with her brother's physician today. He's been wanting to speak with her about Edward's health records." "Really? That's good," he remarked lightly.
"Where are they meeting?" "| believe on the back patio, sir." Was he a bit bothered by the fact that his own wife was more ---- willing to meet with some stranger rather than him? Fucking, yes. However, Alexander was trying to look on the bright side and see it as Evelyn trying to gain back some sense of normalcy. His patience with allowing her space was wearing far too thin. He was determined to speak with her come hell or high water. Sparing a quick glance at the time on his laptop, he figured that Evelyn and the doctor should have been about finished up with their meeting.
Alexander pushed back his chair and got up from his desk. Oliver instantly caught on to his intentions and was quick to question. "Sir? Are you sure you-" Oliver went silent when Alexander shot him a glare over his shoulder. Yes, he was determined to speak to Evelyn. Without another wasted second, he left his office and headed toward the back end of the manor. | refuse to let another night go by where the two of us head to our separate rooms. No more. He'd heard a pair of voices just as he reached the patio area.
Alexander stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed that this so-called doctor was by no means anything like he'd envisioned. ---- He was young, handsome, and clearly interested in his wife. "Would you be horribly offended if | asked you to remove the mask for a moment?" Alexander's entire body strained. No. There was no chance that Evelyn was going to show him anything. Right? Although, he'd noticed the way she hesitated. When it came to him, she was quick to refuse and deny him any access to her. But this guy-who she'd only known for less than two hours was being given considerable thought
