---- Chapter 209 [Third-Person's POV] Much like Samantha and Michael's personal situations of misery, Fiona had also taken a harsh tumble from grace. Her position in society had practically crumbled to nothing after the whole ordeal of having tampered with Evelyn's tea mixture. Although Alexander had been decent enough to make it publicly known what she'd done, word had spread regardless. People from within Alexander's pack must have reached out to other neighboring packs because soon everyone knew of Fiona's horrible deed. Not a single person wanted to see her willingly for a check-up.
It had practically dissolved any and all credibility she had as a medical practitioner. Of course, she blamed Evelyn for this horrible misfortune. It was because of her that Alexander wasn't able to see reason. Before her, he had never reprimanded her. Then again, there never had been a real reason to. One moment, everything had been normal and the next-it was like her whole life was unraveling at the seams... She'd cried and vented to Caroline about her misfortunes and ---- demanded that she speak to Alexander.

However, even Caroline wasn't willing to admit to Fiona's face that she had seriously messed up. There wasn't much of a way for her to save face after the stunt she had pulled. "It's one thing to go after Evelyn, dear," she had told her. "But it's a completely different situation when your intention was to poison hundreds of people." Caroline, who possessed a special kind of skill for tuming the public's opinion, was not able to swing things in Fiona's favor this time around. "The best you, or anyone, could do is let a bit of time pass," she suggested.
"All you can hope for is that people will either move on or forget about it." But Fiona didn't want to wait. Each day that went by, where people were openly ignoring her and shunning her, was a cruel reminder of how things had changed. Each day sent her further and further into a grizzly state of mind. She wanted revenge. When the news broke out about Michael, Fiona was quick to comment to Caroline that her son being sent to prison wasn't all that shocking since it was orchestrated by Alexander and Evelyn. Fiona knew that once Caroline had been burned by the infamous.
couple only then would she understand the pain and disdain that ---- had been coursing through her veins. Sure enough, Caroline admitted to having met with the Alpha King in hopes of trying to make some sort of plea deal on behalf of Michael According to what she'd been told, the King's hands were tied in the matter, leaving Caroline to take alternative measures. So, there they all were-sitting in Isabella's living room to discuss possible plans. It came as no great surprise that Samantha was initially included in the discussion.
Nor did it shock anyone that the drama queen would storm in like a temperamental child. But, all things considered, Samantha had clearly come across something of interest. They all waited with bubbling anticipation for Samantha to reveal the information she had stumbled upon. With the gossip column still clutched tightly in her hands, she calmly flipped it around to show the group. "Alexander and Evelyn intend on having a second wedding," Samantha said with a sneer. Fiona's face twisted with a mixture of disgruntled annoyance and confusion. "A second wedding?" she questioned.
"Do | dare ask, who the hell cares?" ---- Samantha narrowed her eyes on Fiona, giving her a bitter glare. She handed over the article to both Isabella and Caroline to read. Caroline's lips pursed with similar vexation; however, Isabella began to cackle. "Oh, please. Alexander regrets not having given Evelyn the proper wedding she deserves," she snorted. "| wonder if the oh- so-powerful Alpha Alexander would feel that way if he knew the real reason why Evelyn agreed to the wedding in the first place."
