---- Chapter 171 [Third-Person's POV] Alexander bent down and captured Evelyn's lips in a fierce kiss that threatened what was left of his resolve. Evelyn's words felt so much more than just an invitation. They felt like a confession from the most hidden part of her. He had to remember, there wasn't some illicit drug coursing through her system anymore. This was all Evelyn now. She was fully in control of her actions, wants, and thoughts. And at that moment, she made it abundantly clear that she wanted him. Alexander would be damned if he did not come through for such a request.

Hell, the amount of emotion and desire he was holding back from her was enough to make the floors and walls shake. Alexander thought of how easily he could do away with both of their clothes and take her right then and there on the ballroom floor. No! If this is really going to happen, then I'm going to ensure that it's done right. He gripped the underside of her thighs, keeping her firmly in place, and carried them out of the ballroom. Alexander, knowingly, maneuvered them through the manor until they reached the master bedroom. He fought back a feral groan when he felt the heat permeating from her center against the button of his pants. As soon as the door was open, he kicked it shut with the heel of his shoe and brought them over to the large bed across the room. "hl" Evelyn yelped as he unceremoniously dropped her onto the mattress.

A devious smile curled his lips while he stared down at the ---- woman who'd been taunting him night after night. Well, no more. "As beautiful as this dress is, I'm afraid it's got to go," he told her. "Shall 1?" Evelyn nodded her head. She sat up and reached behind to undo the ties that were keeping the material in place. Suddenly, she paused as though she just remembered something. Her cheeks flushed as she let the top of her dress fall to her waist, revealing her bare breasts. Holy fuck. Alexander gaped at the perfect, delectable sight of her pert nipples stiffening under his heated gaze.

To think she wasn't wearing a bra the whole time made him wonder what else she didn't have on. He reached out for the hem of her dress and slipped his hand beneath. His fingers sought out the soft, silky feel of her legs as he slowly inched closer to the special spot. His heart nearly jumped out of his chest when his hand didn't come into contact with any material whatsoever. He choked on his words. Their moment of shock swiftly turned over into fits of laughter. Together, they got Evelyn out of her dress and shoes. Just like the night before, Alexander took the opportunity to let his eyes search over her.
