---- Chapter 185 As if that wasn't hindering her mind enough, there was also no sign of whether or not her little trick on Evelyn actually panned out. On top of Alexander somehow disappearing, so did Evelyn and Michael. Not that she was thrilled about her annoying Stepdaughter showing up in the first place, but it was very unlike Evelyn to not say goodbye. No matter, she knew that the moment word got out about Edward's rapidly failing health Evelyn would rush over to try and fix things. Well, at least things didn't end in a total loss, she figured.
That irritating little bitch set me back a long way with getting rid of that useless waste of space she calls a brother. Isabella had every intention of picking up where she left off when it came to sabotaging Edward's treatments. She refused to let the opportunity of taking full control of the Silvermoon Pack pass her by. She'd come so close to making Edward's treatments appear as though they were naturally failing-no way was she going to stop now. "tt doesn't matter what she's been doing to help him," she muttered darkly to herself.

"I'm going to make sure that there is no chance of recovery. This time, Edward won't ever wake up." ---- She pursed her lips with self-determination and left the dining room. The only thing that gave her soured mood a bit of hope was knowing that she was going to be able to puta stop to all the progress Evelyn was making A menacing smile curved her painted lips at the thought. As she began making her way down the hallway toward Edward's rooms, she came to an abrupt halt at the corner. What the hell?! Standing guard at the doors to her Stepson's room was a large figure with unwavering stature.
As the lady of the house, Isabella believed that she was due some sort of an explanation. Hiding her frazzledness, she calmly approached the man. "May | ask who you are and why you're standing in front of this door?" she questioned pointedly. The man raised a singular brow and barely glanced down at her in acknowledgment. "| was sent by my Luna to watch over a Mr. Edward Silverwood," he stated clearly. "Your Luna?" ---- "Yes, Evelyn Kingston," the guard clarified. Her anger returned with a mean vengeance. "And may | now know why my Stepdaughter would post a guard in my own house?" "Mrs.
Kingston is under the clear impression that her brother's treatments have been tampered with. She's requested that there be twenty-four surveillance on these rooms until her brother's health returns to its original progression." Isabella's arrogant sneer curled her features. "Well, that sounds a bit dramatic. | mean, twenty-four surveillance? Is that really necessary? I'm sure Edward's health will be able to progress just fine without all of this." She tried to reach for the door handle but the man shifted to block her access. Isabella was hugely taken aback by this.
The woman let out a sharp gasp and planted her hands on her hips. "Are you really going to block me from seeing my own Stepson?" "Mrs. Kingston passed on a list of all certified personnel that are allowed to see Mr. Silverwood during this time. I'm afraid that you are not on it." Isabella's jaw practically hit the floor. "| don't believe this! This is a complete outrage! I'm being barred from a literal part of my own house?!" ---- The guard resumed his original position and didn't even bother to give a response. She turned on her heels and stormed off.
Isabella knew she needed a new course of action... This was, undoubtedly, going to mess with her plans. Perhaps, | should seriously think about reaching out to Caroline.
