He didnt reply, but through our link, I felt his anger, his relentless fury, and thirst for revenge.

I knew he had heard me.

The moment Aldric lifted him into the air by the throat, I lunged at my highest speed, silent, my massive claws sinking into the Vampire Kings back.

"AAAAHHH!" I screamed, unleashing the last of my dwindling Selenia strength, digging into his flesh, reaching for his heart.

But this wasnt the same as an ordinary vampire.

"Get away from him, Valeria! Get out now!" Aldric roared in my mind, and I tried to pull my hand back from where it was buried in his body, but something held me in place.

His wound was closing faster than I could move my fingers to pull them outhis body was crushing them.

Aldric was holding him up, keeping him away from me, fighting against the King's claws as he struggled.

I grabbed my own wrist with my other hand, pulling with all my strength, my eyes wide in horror as I watched the hole I had created heal before my eyes, closing at an impossible speed.
