“And also, later give your mom a call and ask if she has time

tonight."

Jordyn replied, "Okay, got it.”

Jordyn was at the amusement park playing games.

After hanging up, she planned to call Celeste once she was

done, but she got carried away and forgot. By the time she

remembered, it was already past four in the afternoon.

She hurriedly called Celeste. "Mom, do you have time to have

dinner together tonight?"

Celeste was still at Fleming Group, discussing data analysis with

others.

Hearing this, she assumed Jordyn meant dinner just between

the two of them.

Her eyes stayed on the screen as she answered casually, "Yes.

Send me the address later. I'll head over once I'm done with

work."

"Okay!"

Celeste said, 'I'm still busy; | need to hang up first. We'll talk

tonight, alright?"

Jordyn had wanted to share her day with Celeste, but hearing

that, she could only reply, "Okay. Bye, Mom."

After hanging up, Celeste continued talking about work,

completely unaware that several people present were left

stunned by what they had just heard.

Most people at InnovaTech and YodaVision knew that Celeste

had been married before and had a child. But among those at

Fleming Group who worked with her, this was the first time

they'd heard of it.

Someone couldn't help asking, "Ms. Rodriguez... you have a

child?"

Celeste didn't look up. She gave a light nod. "Mm."

Everyone else became dumbfounded.

She had a child!

But as far as they knew, Matthias wasn't married. So Celeste's

child... had nothing to do with Matthias?

Seeing that the others weren't particularly shocked by the news,

the Fleming Group staff realized they must have already known

about it.

When Celeste went to the restroom, someone couldn't resist

asking a YodaVision employee, "What's going on with Ms.

Rodriguez? Isn't she and Mr. Yoder a couple?"

Fleming Group and YodaVision had been working together for

so long that both sides were familiar with each other.

The YodaVision staff didn't feel comfortable spreading too

much gossip and only replied vaguely, "We're actually not very

sure either. We just know Ms. Rodriguez was already married,

but... we heard before that she and her husband were planning

to divorce. Not sure if it's finalized yet."

Hearing this, the Fleming Group employees were even more

surprised.

"Well, who would've thought?"

They had really believed Celeste and Matthias were a couple.

Celeste was very busy. By the time she finished, night had

already fallen. After seeing the address Jordyn sent her, she

drove away from Fleming Group.

She called Jordyn. "Jo, | got held up and might be a bit late. If

you're hungry, go ahead and order first.”

"Mom, I'm on my way too. No rush.”

When Celeste arrived at the destination and was about to get

out of the car, she saw Trevor and Jordyn.

She paused, but still got out of the car.

When Jordyn saw her, she waved excitedly. "Mom!"

Celeste nodded and was about to speak when the doors of two

cars beside them opened. Queenie and Lincoln, Tucker, Teagan,

and even Martha all got out one after another.

Seeing them, Celeste froze for a moment and almost

immediately understood what was going on.

She had thought Jordyn had called her on her own.

In an instant, her steps halted where she stood.

Everyone from the Fleming family, including Martha, looked

equally shocked when they saw her.

They hadn't expected Celeste to be there as well.
