Chapter 608

Matthias became quiet.

It was true that they had agreed to have a meal earlier with

Lazarus, but now that the person who came to YodaVision had

changed to Trevor, wasn't it perfectly reasonable for him to

change his mind?

He let out a dry chuckle and said, "Something came up at the

last minute. Please forgive us, Mr. Fleming.”

Trevor smiled as well and didn't pursue the matter any further.

He stood up and said, "Alright, then we'll do it next time."

With that, he shook hands with Matthias, then extended his hand

toward Celeste as well.

Celeste paused for a moment before reaching out to shake his

hand. Her tone was calm, "Thank you."

Trevor nodded. After glancing once more at Kieran, he left

YodaVision together with Jacob. +

Over the next two days, because of the collaboration, Celeste

went to the Fleming Group every day. Kieran accompanied her

as well.

During those two days, Trevor would show up each morning

while they were in meetings, sitting in to listen.

However, he rarely stayed long. After about half an hour, he

would leave on his own.

By this point, Lazarus and the others had basically confirmed

that Trevor had developed feelings for Celeste. 2

Kieran rarely came to Fleming Group before.

He had heard previously that Trevor would sometimes come

down to listen in on Celeste's meetings.

Since he also knew that Trevor had studied Al, seeing him

attend their meetings over the past two days, Kieran simply

assumed that he was interested in certain aspects of the project

and didn't think too much of it. +

That day, close to noon, Wynn once again arrived at Fleming

Group.

However, she still didn't see Trevor.

Instead, she ran into Jacob.

Seeing her, Jacob paused, then walked over. "Ms. Locket, are

you looking for Mr. Fleming?" +

Wynn smiled. "Yes. Where's Trevor?"

Jacob replied, "Mr. Fleming... is downstairs."

He didn't specify where downstairs. But Wynn had already

guessed where Trevor was.

Still, her smile didn't change as she said, "| see... Then I'll wait

for him in his office."

Jacob nodded. "Alright."

Wynn went into Trevor's office and sat down. Jacob made her a

cup of coffee. Seeing that it was almost half past twelve and

Trevor still hadn't come upstairs, Jacob seemed to think of

something and turned to head downstairs.

When he reached the lower floor, he realized that Trevor,

Celeste, and Lazarus were all gone.

He paused, then asked someone nearby, "Mr. Fleming... Where

did they go?"

“Mr. Fleming went out to eat with Mr. Collet and the others." 2

Jacob fell silent for a moment.

After processing it, he turned around and went back upstairs to

inform Wynn. "Sorry, Ms. Locket. | just asked around, and Mr.

Fleming went out to take care of something."

Wynn's hand paused slightly as she held her coffee. Then she

smiled, stood up, and said, "It's fine. I'll come by another time.” 4

With that, she got up, picked up her bag, and turned to leave.

Watching her retreating figure, Jacob couldn't help calling out, "

Wait a moment."

Wynn turned back with a smile. "What is it? Is there something

else?"

Jacob naturally understood what Trevor's recent change in

attitude toward Celeste meant. 1

Although he wasn't completely clear on everything regarding

Trevor's personal affairs, he did know that the frequency of

meetings between Trevor and Wynn had noticeably decreased

compared to before. 3

Even if he didn't fully understand what was going on between

them now, seeing the dim look on Wynn's face earlier when she

learned that Trevor wasn't around was enough for him to know

that she must already be aware of some of Trevor's changes.

He saw it clearly and wanted to say something.

But he was Trevor's subordinate. Without Trevor's permission,

there were things he couldn't speak of lightly.
