Chapter 7 Chapter 7 Nadia's face went white. 444 She stared at the Locket on stage, eyes stinging, ice creeping up her back. Vivian wrapped herself around Kael's arm, voice dripping honey. "Kael, I want that Locket. It could bring good luck to my poor little nephew up there." Kael touched her face and lifted his paddle. "Thirty grand." Nadia grabbed Vivian's wrist, voice shaking. "Vivian, don't you dare." Vivian turned, playing innocent, but the words that came out stabbed straight through.
"If you hadn't been so obsessed with saving your mom's 'honor' back then, your kid would still be alive. I'm actually helping her-turning her skull into something that'll bless Levi. Maybe it'll wash away what she did." Seeing that little smirk, Nadia wanted to rip her face off. She swung her hand. Next thing she knew, someone shoved her hard. She hit the steps. Pain exploded across her back. Vivian's eyes instantly filled with tears, voice all wobbly. "Nadia, if you wanted it, you could've just said so. Why'd you have to hit me?" Kael's stare went even colder.

"Nadia, since when are you this nasty?" His voice wasn't even loud, but everyone turned to look. "Wait, isn't that Nadia? The hotshot bomb tech who studied abroad? Why's she freaking out like that?" "Hotshot? She couldn't even save her own kid." "God, what a train wreck. Commander Ashford's wife throwing hands at a charity event over some Locket. So embarrassing..." The whispers got louder. Kael's face went darker. "You leaving? Or do I need to have you dragged out?" Nadia dug her nails into her palms, fighting back tears, eyes glued to the Locket.
"Kael, do you even know what that thing's made from?" Kael scoffed. "Doesn't matter. Vivian wants it. I'm getting it for her." Ile raised his paddle again. "Whatever it costs." That one sentence killed every last bit of hope inside her. She looked up at him, almost begging. 12:29 My Last Gift To My Ex: A Bomb 23.1% Chapter 7 "Kael, please, Just let me have it. Please." Kael looked down at her, voice flat and brutal. "You're not worth it." Four words. That's all it took to shove her over the edge. She stared up at him, then dropped straight to her knees. "Kael, I'm begging you.
Give me the Locket." Something flashed in his eyes when he saw her kneeling. But it disappeared fast. He turned and walked up on stage, grabbed the Locket from the auctioneer, and walked back toward her. Nadia watched the thing in his hand, hope flickering back for just a second. Then he walked right past her and hung it around Vivian's neck. Every bit of light left in her eyes went out. She crumpled to the floor. All that dignity she threw away-just got her more humiliation. Love had a language. So did the lack of it. Kael glanced down at her on the ground and waved at his men.
"Get my wife out of here. She's making a scene." They dragged her out of the hall like garbage. When she finally made it back to her room at home, the door got kicked open. Kael stormed in, face twisted with anger. "Nadia, how dare you sent people to grab Vivian and beat her up?!" 12:29 (0) (0) My Last Gift To My Ex: A Bomb 25.0% Chapter S Cedella Cedella is a passionate storyteller known for her bold romantic and spicy novels that keep readers hooked from the very first chapter.
