Chapter 9 Christian's POV "Carrie, are you feeling okay? Anywhere else hurting?" The moment she opened her eyes, all of us rushed over, our faces full of worry. Lysander was the first to speak. "Don't ever do anything that dangerous again. You'll always be our family." Carrie's eyes turned red. Her face twisted with hurt as she reached out and grabbed my hand. "I was just... scared you didn't want me anymore. What happened back then... yes, it was my fault. But..." Her voice broke as she lowered her head, soft cries escaping her lips-and it hit something deep in me.
The others looked just as heartbroken. "Don't be afraid, Blair. The past is the past. We're here for you now." Lysander, Orion and Zayden nodded in agreement, their tones equally warm and doting. I looked at her-and for some reason, a strange sense of unease started gnawing at my chest. Like I was losing something important... and I didn't even know what it was. "Christian," Carrie met my gaze, her voice soft and fragile. "Are you still mad at me?" "No. Don't overthink it," I said quietly. "Just rest." That's when the pack doctor walked in.

"How's Carrie doing?" "Physically, she's fi-" Before he could finish, Carrie suddenly clutched her chest and let out a sharp, panicked scream. "It hurts-my chest-it hurts so bad!" We all swarmed her at once, panicking. "Lysander, Christian... I don't want to stay here. I want to go home." Lysander frowned, clearly against the idea. "You're not well. You need proper treatment." Carrie lowered her head, crying softly. "I know my own condition. But I don't want to stay here. I want to be home-with you." None of us could push back after that. So we took her home.
By the next day, it was already lunchtime-and I still hadn't seen Blair. Chapter 9 13.97% We all held our breath, frozen outside the door. "That bitch's life is stubborn as hell. Snake venom didn't kill her, the car crash didn't finish her off..." "But so what if she survived all that? She still died in the end. And there wasn't even a body left to bury." I went cold. All those things... it was her? She was the one trying to kill Blair? My brain felt like it exploded. Everything I had believed in, all these years-shattered. The snake venom, the scandalous photos, even the cliff...
What was the real truth? None of it made sense anymore. Everything felt wrong. I felt desperate for answers, like a drowning man clinging to hope. I didn't care about anything else I shoved the door open and stormed in. Carrie didn't even have time to react. That twisted look on her face-the malice in her eyes-it was still there. She froze. The moment our eyes met, I knew. I could never see her as the "just a little spoiled" girl again. The three of us stood there, towering over her. Panic flashed across her face, but it was too late-she couldn't hide anything now.
I clenched my jaw, voice low and burning, "Carrie. What really happened with the snake venom? Did Blair really frame you?" Her eyes darted away, clearly shaken. But she quickly pulled herself together and even tried to grab my hand. She held on, and when I didn't pull away right away, her eyes flickered with hope. She slipped back into that soft, sweet voice she always used to manipulate us, "Lysander, Orion, Zayden... let me explain..." But before she could finish, footsteps echoed from downstairs-Christian's voice followed, sharp and urgent.
"Where's Carrie?" "She's gone to bed, Alpha, You should come back tomorrow." Then came the sound of him rushing up the stairs. The next second, Christian appeared at the door-eyes bloodshot, rage pouring off him like a tidal wave- Chapter 12 16.18% admin
