The entire Packhouse fell into a stunned silence . Darius Stormraven's grin faded instantly . The color drained from his face , and the wine glass slipped from his grasp , shattering against the stone floor .

He didn't care about the Elders , the guests , or the Pack's reputation - his hands shot forward , grabbing his Beta by the collar , his voice cutting through the air , sharp and frenzied .

" What the hell did you just say ? Say it again ! Where is Evelyn Darkmoor ?
