Lost in a haze of alcohol , Alpha Xavier spent the entire night with the stranger , O surrendering to the illusion of comfort . It wasn't until the golden morning sunlight streamed through the windows that he finally saw her face .

She nestled against him , her delicate body pressed against his chest , her voice as sweet as honey .

" Xavier , I heard every word you said last night , she murmured , tracing her fingers along his arm .

" Luna Emma doesn't deserve your love . Let me take care of you , okay ? I won't be useless like her . I'll give you a strong , healthy pup ."
