Valerie helped Lucius into the living room, where Hannah and Kara greeted them. When Hannah saw Valerie, a flicker of resentment appeared in her eyes. The lash marks on her body were still aching faintly, and she had gotten them because of Valerie. She thought she had hidden her venomous gaze well, but Valerie caught it instantly.

Realizing her thoughts had been seen through, Hannah quickly lowered her head, masking her true emotions beneath a submissive front. Valerie found Hannah rather amusing. Ever since Valerie moved into Azure Bay, Hannah had shown some inexplicable hostility toward her. Hannah probably had some weird fantasies in her head. She probably thought she was a pitiful housekeeper in love with the handsome master of the mansion, dreaming of one day becoming his wife. Only, the master wasn't just handsome. He was also charming and flirtatious, always surrounded by women.

Sometimes, he would even bring them home. In Hannah's mind, Valerie was probably the vicious villainess who ruined the romance between the two main leads.
