Chapter 6 Early next morning, Riley was already waiting for me downstairs. As soon as I got into the car, he pulled out a steaming bag of pastries and warm milk from under his coat. "I kept them in my coat to keep them warm so you can have a hot breakfast. Hurry and eat before it gets cold." I took the breakfast and held it in my hands. Riley drove, glancing at me from the corner of his eye every now and then. "Yesterday, the head of the Kentran Top-Secret Research Project contacted me. My name's on the list for this new project.

Anna, I know it was you who recommended me." My hand trembled when I heard that. He didn't notice anything wrong and kept talking. "Even though the list is confidential, I'm sure you're on it too. Are you trying to change your environment because of your parents? Don't worry. No matter where we go, we'll always be together. But the project starts tomorrow, so our wedding has to be cancelled. "Yes I recommended you for the project, but it wasn't to be with you. I just never want to see you again." Riley's voice was shaking. "Why? Anna, did I do something wrong? Why are you doing this all of a sudden?" "I sent you the videos. Take a good look," I said. After a long silence, Riley finally spoke. "So, you knew all along. You were the one who reconnected the camera, weren't you? When did you find out?" I let out a soft chuckle.

"The day after you proposed." "I'm sorry, Anna. It was just a fling! You're the only one I love!" Riley tried to explain. "It was Nelly! She seduced me first.
