---- Chapter 7 Now, I had stumbled back home, dejected and with nowhere else to go. Nevertheless, my family welcomed me back with open arms and did not blame me in the slightest. In the vast living room, the nanny brought me a hot plate of food. "Ms. Snowe, your mother has missed you every day since you left!" My mother turned away to wipe her tears, while my father patted her back gently. "Our daughter's finally back, isn't she? Cheer up.
From now on, our family will always stay together!" Ihugged my parents and sobbed, swearing to fulfil my childhood dream and stop making them worry. After returning home, I spent every day in our family clinic, treating patients alongside my mother and regaining my past confidence. Fortunately, I had kept my old medical books all these years and retained my knowledge. As such, I quickly got back into gear and even found the time to get some certification.
---- At first, some patients refused my treatment because I 'was too young. They assumed I would not have the skills. However, I proved them wrong with my actions. After a series of successful treatments, they finally acknowledged me, and more patients came seeking my expertise. I even had people travel thousands of miles for my care. My life was more fulfilling than ever. After three years, I finally achieved my dreams. Ijust never expected to meet Seamus Chandler again after that.

That evening, I had closed up the clinic and was heading home when J heard a hoarse voice calling my name from behind. Confused, I turned around and saw Seamus dressed in rags, standing before me. His eyes were sunken and his face pale. He looked utterly lifeless. It had only been three years since we last met, but he looked like he had aged a decade. ---- Seamus stared at me, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Autumn, I finally found you after three long years!" There was no warmth in my voice at all. "What are you doing here?" The coolness of my tone hurt him. He stumbled back, his voice trembling. "I'm sorry, Autumn, I know everything. I hurt you, and I killed our baby. How could I be so stupid to fall for that cursed woman's lies?! Please, will you forgive me? I was wrong, it was all my fault, but I've really learned my lesson now!" Before I could say anything, I heard someone yelling nearby.
"Stop right there, you little brat! How dare you steal my bread! I'll kill you, punk!" Thomas stumbled and ran over before quickly hiding behind Seamus' back. As soon as he was safe, he quickly wolfed down the last bite of stolen bread. Seeing his dirty face, I quietly walked over to the store owner who was chasing after him and paid for the bread. Thomas had been tightly gripping Seamus' shirt, but ---- once he saw me, he stared at me without blinking.
As soon as the store owner turned back, he ran up to me. "Mom, I finally found you! You look so different, you've become so much prettier. We looked for you for so long, Mom. Come home with Dad, won't you? We're sorry, we know we were wrong. Come home and we can be a family again." I frowned and barked at Seamus coldly, "Seamus Chandler, Thomas is just a child! At his age, he should be studying at school! Why did you bring him here?
It's one thing for you to be useless and aimless in life, but do you want your son to become a homeless vagrant with you?!" Seamus stood frozen in a wordless panic. Thomas, however, immediately threw a tantrum. "No, I don't want to go to school! My classmates all found out about your disappearance. They made fun of me, calling me an ungrateful son and a fool. I don't have a single friend anymore, all of them look down on me! I refuse to go to school! Mom, I'm really hungry.
Take me to eat something, please? After that, we can go home. I..."
