---- Chapter 891 Aileen hugged Hailey and said, "As long as I'm here, no one else is allowed to be my sister-in-law!" Hailey felt warmth in her heart. No matter what happened between her and Jonah, she hadn't wasted her effort caring for Aileen. Not long after , Jonah's voice came from outside. "Dinner's ready! Come out and eat!" Hailey led Aileen out of the room. On the dining table was a pot of freshly made oatmeal, along with three simple and appetizing side dishes. For someone like Hailey, who couldn't cook at all, she genuinely admired Jonah.

In sucha short time, he had managed to prepare oatmeal and whip up three side dishes. Jonah set out the bowls and cutlery. "Let's eat." Hailey, like Aileen, sat and waited for the meal. She felt undeserving of all this. After all, she was there to take care of Aileen, but in the end, she hadn't been able to help with anything. She took a few spoonfuls of oatmeal, but her appetite wasn't great, so she didn't eat much. Aileen looked at her and asked, "Hailey, why are you eating so little?" ---- Hailey didn't dare tell her about the pregnancy .

She smiled and said, "My appetite hasn't been good lately." Aileen frowned. "Why is your appetite off? Are you sick?" Hailey didn't say anything. She wasn't sick-she was pregnant. Just then, Jonah, who was sitting across from them, suddenly said, "Is it because my cooking isn't as good as the food at Paestro Restaurant, or is it because you're sitting at the same table with me that you suddenly lost your appetite?" Hailey was stunned. What was he talking about? Aileen was caught off guard, too. "Jonah, what do you mean by that?" Jonah smirked as he looked at Hailey with a hint of sarcasm.

" Didn't you go to Paestro Restaurant with someone else just a few days ago? You didn't seem to have any issues with your appetite then." Hailey finally understood that he was mocking her. He thought she was pretending. Before she could respond, Aileen frowned and snapped, " What's your problem, Jonah? Why are you picking a fight with Hailey for no reason?" Hailey didn't want them to argue because of her, so she quickly tugged at Aileen's arm. "Aileen, Jonah didn't mean it that way. Don't misunderstand him-" ---- Jonah cut her off. "No, you didn't misunderstand.

I meant exactly that." Hailey was completely stunned. Aileen snapped, "Jonah, what's your problem? If you keep talking to Hailey like this, please leave. You're not welcome here!" Hailey quickly picked up her bowl. "Please don't fight! I'll eat now. I suddenly have an appetite!" She hurriedly tried to eat the oatmeal, but a wave of nausea surged up. While clutching her chest, she bent over and started vomiting. Aileen instantly put down her spoon and patted Hailey's back. "Hailey, what's wrong?" Across the table, Jonah froze slightly as he watched.

Hailey was so nauseous that her eyes teared up, but she forced asmile and said, "Aileen, I'm okay. I just haven't had much of an appetite lately." Aileen asked, "It must be because of Jonah's cooking, right? Hailey, what do you want to eat?" Hailey felt incredibly awkward and tried to explain, "Aileen, Jonah's cooking is great. I'm just craving something sour right now. That might help." Just then, a melodic ringtone rang out. Jonah's phone lit up on the dining table. ---- Hailey didn't mean to look, but when she glanced up, she saw Joanne's name on the screen.

"T'll take this outside ," Jonah said as he grabbed his phone and walked out. Aileen muttered, "Why does he need to go outside just to take acall? It's so annoying." Hailey guessed Jonah and Joanne were probably going to have along, sweet conversation, They probably wanted privacy. She smiled and said, "Aileen, don't worry about all that. Eat your oatmeal before it gets cold."
