Grumbling discontentedly, they released Emeriel and Amie, and the two hurried towards the cellar. Inside, Master Gaine sat mixing drinks, his brow furrowed. "You're late."

"They weren't. The fellows wanted a piece of them," Master Boris said before they could speak.
