---- Chapter 98 It was the Moonreaver! Nathaniel was actually holding that legendary blade in his hand! Renowned throughout the Northern Frontier, the weapon was said to weigh over a hundred pounds, forged from steel as black as night and gleaming with a deadly chill Scouts had once reported from the battlefield, trembling as they spoke, that a single strike from the blade could sever the heads of dozens of soldiers at once. At the Northern Frontier, the very sight of it made the enemy flee in terror. "He's holding the Moonreaver!
It's really the Moonreaver!" Elias' eyes shone with a fierce excitement. "Damon, fetch my weapon immediately!" The audacity of that man, coming here with the Moonreaver! Elias had expected him to come, but not with such ferocity. The Dawnmerian prince could hardly contain himself. He had never seen the true power of the Moonreaver before. Clearly, Selena held an utterly unshakable position in Nathaniel's heart. "Damon!" he called again. Damon's face turned pale with fear. "Your Highness, y-you can't.
Someone will die!" ---- "Get out of my way, useless fool!" Elias stormed into the room and seized his sword, the Starcatcher, then charged forward Perched on the treetop, Nathaniel gave Elias a cold look before turning and leaping away toward the edge of the palace grounds. "You wretch! Today, | shall strike you to your knees and have you begging for mercy!" Elias shouted, eyes gleaming as he leapt after Nathaniel, springing from treetops in pursuit. "Elias!" "Your Highness!" Those left behind could only stare, hearts pounding in terror. "Prince Nathaniel wields the Moonreaver.

Once it's unsheathed, it won't stop until it draws blood!" Damon yelled as he rushed to seize a spear. "Go! Help His Highness before the Obsidian Monarch kills him!" "Why would Nate kill Elias?" Lilia asked, her eyes brimming with tears. She wanted to grab a weapon, but their opponent was Nathaniel! How could she possibly fight her favorite person in the world? ---- "Your Highness, stay here. Joseph, let's go!" Damon commanded as he charged after Nathaniel Joseph hurried to keep pace. Lilia paced in a frantic circle, torn. Should she go to help?
But she could never bring herself to touch Nathaniel. And yet, if he actually killed Elias, what would happen? Weren't they friends? Why was Nathaniel attacking him? What had Elias done to deserve this? At the palace gates, the guards looked up and saw two figures leaping effortlessly overhead. The men snapped to attention, irritation flashing across their faces. How dare those two leap through the palace grounds as if they owned the place? Did they think the guards were nothing more than scenery? But in the blink of an eye, the two figures vanished, slipping away like phantoms.
"Did | just imagine that?" one guard muttered. "Was someone really up there?" another wondered, wide-eyed. If they were really human, how could they move like that? Could they have been ghosts? ---- In the distance, more figures came running, urgency in every step. Damon carried an official emblem and gripped his spear as he sprinted past the gates. Soon after, Joseph appeared, followed by Lilia. The guards stared in astonishment. This was no ordinary occurrence. Should they alert Andrew?
Later that night, Selena put some freshly made pills into a vial and handed them to Sally, instructing her to deliver them to Sebastian. "Have him take one in the morning and one at night, just like before. Make sure he doesn't miss a dose," she said firmly. "| understand. | will take them to Lord Sebastian immediately." But Sally hesitated, as though she wanted to say something. "What is it?" Selena asked. After a long pause, Sally finally whispered, "My lady, how can we know if Lord Sebastian's injury is improving?" "Only by testing it," Selena replied matter-of-factly.
Sally's eyes went wide, her cheeks flushing crimson. "Testing it?" ---- Selena shook her head slightly. "Right now, he's just started on a new medicine. Even if it works, he will need time to recover. That question can wait. We will see in time." Still blushing, Sally nodded, then turned and left. Selena returned to her books, but her mind refused to settle. In the end, she closed the volume, extinguished the candle, and prepared for bed. But no sooner had she sat on the bed than she jumped up again, hurried over, and flung the window open.
