I stretched on the bed. Without opening my eyes, I touched the bed as I searched for Aurora with my hands only.

I looked down and found my clothes there. I picked up my clothes, and I saw Aurora’s robe on the floor too. I picked it up and sniffed at it.

My lips tilted upwards in a smile as I recalled what happened last night. How I took Aurora as if it were our wedding night.

I put all the dirty clothes in the laundry basket and entered the bathroom to take my bath.

I walked out of my room, and the sound of the pack children running around filled my ears. I smiled as I thought of Tristan and Seraphina. I walked to their room and found it empty.

I heard approaching footsteps, and I turned to see a maid. “Good morning, Alpha,” she said with her head low.

I followed his gaze, and my eyes landed on his bleeding knees, “Of course you are hurt here too…” I said that with my eyes on

Tristan.

“Dane… I didn’t mean to…”

I raised a hand to her as I carried Tristan onto my shoulder, and I took Sera’s hand, “I will be going to the pack doctor.”

Aurora’s jaw dropped, “Pack doctor?” she asked.

“Of course, should I take him to the farmer instead?” I snapped, my tone getting higher than I intended.

She pursed her lips and shook her head, “I meant, I only have to get the wounds cleaned and bandaged, you don’t need to take him to the pack doctor for that.”

I stared at her for a while, my lips shut. I knew if I opened them, I might say some really hurtful words to her. I turned and left with the kids.
