Chapter 24 Chapter 24 A twig snaps me out of my thoughts. I stand still. I look around. There's no one. I feel my wolf urging me to shift and defend myself. But I can't see or smell any kind of threat. Maybe I'm just a little jittery. You should have shifted Elizabeth Crowe my wolf days in my mind. 'Shut up Marie! It was probably a dear or something. I shouldn't overreact just because of a simple twig snapping! It could've been anything!' Girrrlll, you and I both know that it wasn't a dear. I sense that something else is with us. My heart starts to beat louder and harder against my chest.
I walk a little further into the forest. I sniff the air for a scent. Then it hits me. Wolves. But not ours. I look deeper into the bush. With my wolf vision, I can see a little dark figure running towards my pack. Then I realized, if they're heading towards my pack, that's only for one thing. Attack. RUN LIZZY! RUN! My wolf shouts. I shift into my pure, snow white wolf and run back to my pack. I mind link to Eddie Eddie! Wolves are coming to attack the pack! Get all the women and children into the bunkers.
Then get Dad's Beta to get the best warriors to surround the main part of our pack while the trainees surround the inner circle! Hurry!! I heard you Little Sister! I've already mind linked Beta Johnson. Please be careful! As I run, the enemy wolves start to come closer to me. One of them stop in front of me, making me trip. When I get myself back up, I'm surrounded by three wolves: one brown wolf, one grey wolf, and one blonde wolf. One of them lunges and bites into my neck. It hurts like crazy, but I twist my neck graze the brown wolf's jaw with my teeth.

He whimpers and the grip he has on my neck loosens. I rip out and lung for his neck. I cut off his oxygen and he falls unconscious. The other two wolves are circling me. I bare my teeth into a snarl at them. The grey wolf lunges for my neck, I dodge it and bite into his throat. He whimpers in pain. Claws dig into my back, dragging me off him. But the claws come out. I look and see my older brother Eddie fighting the wolf. Hello little sista. How are we? Thank goodness you're here! Why? You were doing pretty good before I got here.
Eddie finally knocked the blonde wolf unconscious while I did the same with the grey wolf. Come on! We have to get back to the pack! We run back as fast as our wolves can carry us. We came into the clearing of our pack house only to see mates pushing their women and children into the bunkers. Eddie helps one of our wolves fight a huge black wolf. When I look back at the bunker all the women and children. are inside, except one little boy crying and shrieking for his mother. I run and pick him up by his shirt in my mouth. I quickly carry him towards the bunkers that were closing. Wait!
I have a child! A boy! I mind linked to every young woman in the bunker. A woman with a tear-stained face pushed out of the crowd, "Mine! He's mine!" She grabs him from me. The little boy wraps his arms around his mother's neck. "I thought I lost you, my sweet boy." She sobbed. I close the bunker doors and race out into the chaos. I was strong as I was fighting the wolves, but now I feel my strength waning. I'm not as experienced as the warriors in battle. My body isn't used to spending its energy so quickly. 11:33 Too Bad, My Alpha-I'm Done Waiting 5.7% Chapter 24 Lizzy! Run!
We have plenty of warriors! You're weakening. Get yourself somewhere safe! Go! Please be careful Eddie. I can't lose you too Jeez, woman, I ain't that weak! Have a little faith! I run deep into the woods. I stop at one of my clothing points. I put some clothing in the bushes just in case I shift and need some covering. Once I get dressed in black cotton shorts and a baggy grey t-shirt, I hear a twig snap. I stilled. I listen for anything else. Another twig snapped, but it's closer. I felt as if someone was stalking me. I didn't hesitate to run in the opposite direction of the sounds.
I hear footsteps behind me. I look over my shoulder and see a black figure chasing me. Then someone from my left tackles me to the ground. We both wrestle on the muddle ground. Grunts an growls emanating from both of us as I try to get away. As the moonlight hit his face my eyes widen. "Vince?!" "Hello, little sister." He's straddling my hips and pinning my arms above my head. "It's time you go." He says. "Trust me, I will if you just let me go!" I shouted thrashing under his weight. He smiles down at me with an evil glint in his heartless eyes, "No I need you gone...permanently.
Wouldn't it be a shame if the pack found their precious alpha's daughter beaten to death. Then I will be next in line to be Alpha."
