Chapter 13 Chapter 13 Declan's POV Intel CORE PRO It was another rainy day. Every member of the Vale Pack looked miserable, moving around carefully, scared of pissing off their Alpha. After everything blew up, Elder Gideon was stuck in bed sick, and the Council decided I should run the whole Vale Pack-the pack and all the businesses. While managing everything, I kept looking for Nora's trail. After just one week, I was completely wiped out. I rubbed my forehead as I looked at the enforcer bowing in front of me. "Still nothing?" The enforcer stayed quiet, hanging his head even lower.
Ever since Gideon and the other Elders saw what Cassia and Lavinia were really like, they agreed to let me bring Nora into the pack as my Luna. When I heard the Elders make that decision, my feelings were all over the place. Even without their okay, I would've done whatever it took to find Nora and be with her forever. Now that I had the pack's blessing, the biggest problem was gone. This was great news for both Nora and me. So I put more people on the search. But a week had passed, and we had nothing. Forget finding Nora-we didn't even know where she'd gone.
When Gideon had sent Nora away, he'd bought her a ticket to Southern Territory. But when my people tracked her there, they were told she never showed up. The airline said Nora had switched flights halfway through, so we followed that trail to her new destination. There, we found out she'd gotten on a local bus. Where she went from there, nobody knew. The trail was completely dead. That was the first problem. The second came right after. Someone knocked on my office door, and my Beta Jasper came in after I said okay. "Alpha Vale, Ms. Ravenna is here again.
She won't leave and insists on seeing you." Ever since the Vale Pack and Cassia and Lavinia had their big blowout, Cassia had lost the baby, and Lavinia had gotten sick. Both women's status had crashed. Cassia didn't give a shit about Lavinia or her own recovery after losing the baby. She kept coming to see me. She wanted to beg me to keep living with her for Ayla's sake, saying th 11:32 You Want Me Back 3.0% Chapter 13 Cassia had also promised she'd learned her lesson and would never hurt Ayla again, swearing she'd live peacefully with me.

To really get to me, she'd even brought Ayla to the company, waiting on her knees in the lobby while ignoring the hungry crying from the kid in her arms. Because Ayla was there, the guards couldn't just throw them out, so they sent Beta Jasper to ask me what to do. I used to feel some dad feelings for Ayla. But thinking about how she had half of Cassia's blood and wondering if she might grow up to be as evil as her mother, my sympathy for the kid disappeared. I didn't answer, just kept scrolling through my phone looking for any news about Nora.
When Jasper waited too long for my answer and was about to handle it himself, I finally spoke. "If you ever bug me with this kind of crap again, you can get the hell out with her." Jasper went stiff, quickly agreed, and hurried out looking a little freaked out. Down in the lobby, Cassia was still on her knees, holding Ayla. Her face was white as a sheet, and her body was shaking, while the kid in her arms had cried herself out from hunger, her wails getting weaker. But Cassia acted like she couldn't hear anything, staring desperately at the executive elevator in front of her.
Finally, that elevator moved. With a soft ding, the executive elevator came down from the top floor, doors slowly opening as someone walked out. Instantly, Cassia's dead eyes suddenly came alive. Ignoring her sore knees, she scrambled to her feet and rushed toward the person. "Declan! I-" Her voice was full of hope and excitement as she carefully reached out toward them. The next second, her hand stopped in mid-air, and her smile froze. "Why is it you? Where's Declan?" Cassia looked anxiously behind Jasper, but she couldn't see the person she'd been waiting for anywhere.
Jasper looked at her with a blank face. "Ms. Ravenna, Alpha Vale has already made everything clear to you. Since you love hurting kids so much, you don't need to raise Ayla anymore." Those were the exact words I'd told Jasper before he left. Cassia's face changed as she automatically hugged Ayla tighter. "What do you mean?" Then the sharp click of high heels echoed behind Cassia. She turned to see her half-sister, Bianca Ravenna, walking up. Bianca grabbed Ayla from her arms before she could react. "Since you can't take proper care of Ayla, I'm taking over from now on.
It works out great since I can't have kids. Don't worry. I'll raise her like she's my own." 11:32 You Want Me B 2.00% Chapter 13 "No! No! Don't! You can't do this!" Cassia's face filled with terror as she frantically tried to grab Ayla back. But the bodyguards Bianca had brought knocked her out with one hit and dragged her away. "Please tell Alpha Vale that we've taken her away and she won't be coming back. Also, congratulations on getting that land deal in the north territory." Trading a piece of land for a kid was a really good deal for both sides.
That was the last bit of mercy I'd show this poor child. (0) 900 (0) 11:32 Back? Too Bad.
