I had even started getting annoyed at her for talking too much and turned off the link between us.

I remembered when we first started dating.

Viola was so lively, bright, and talented.

She always ranked near the top in our Werewolf Trials, and she was also great with business and management.

She shone in a crowd.

But every time we went on a date, we ran into Jane.

She was quieter, gentler, and more thoughtful.

She didn't have the energy or spark that Viola did.

Jane knew how to keep a conversation going and always gave compliments.

But I didn't like Jane that way.

Still, she was part of the family, so I looked out for her more than I probably should have.

On the other hand, Viola had always been so quick to lose her temper with meand so harsh toward Jane.

This time, I agreed to go ahead with the Marking Ceremony to help Jane recover faster.

As Viola's mate, I should help her sister.
