---- Chapter 5 Father's Wrath I watched my father rush toward me, my nose stinging and tears slipping down my cheeks. He ignored Daniel, who had collapsed to the ground, and ran straight toward me. Slipping off his coat, he wrapped it tightly around me, his eyes scanning the marks on my arms and the cut on my forehead. His face was ashen. "Who did this?" Henry's legs went weak, and he stammered, "Who... Who are you? This is a school. Youcan't-" "Tam Serena's father." I pointed toward Daniel and Clara. A few bodyguards moved immediately, pinning them down and searching them.
Within seconds, a dark brown folder slipped from Daniel's clothes. My father took it and held it up for everyone to see. "Look closely. This private jet was personally gifted to Rena by me and her mother." Henry's face drained of color as he stared at the seal and name on the document, his lips quivering silently. ---- The crowd erupted. "Oh my god! It really is her jet!" "She owns more than a dozen private jets...Who exactly is she? "'So, Daniel and Clara were lying first?" Clara lowered her head, instinctively hiding behind Daniel.
My father ignored the commotion around him and spoke to the bodyguards. "Contact the Department of Education. File an official report against them for framing a student and taking bribes. Anyone who dares slander my daughter should rot forever." Henry trembled and fell to his knees, clutching my father's pant leg. "Mr. Vale, I was wrong! I lost my senses and acted like a fool. Please have mercy and let me go! I'll apologize to Serena right now, on my knees if I have to!"" He crawled toward my feet, trying to bow, but the bodyguards stopped him instantly. "No need to waste words with him.

Send all the evidence to the Department of Education and the School Ethics Council. And get him out of here." ---- Two bodyguards stepped forward and dragged the limp Henry out, one on each side, Once Henry was dealt with, my father turned his gaze on Daniel and Clara, sharp as a knife. "You two are grown but petty and cruel. Years ago, I sponsored James Carter to study so he could become an honorable man, not to raise an ungrateful bully like you. Your family benefited from me for years, and you dare mistreat my daughter?" Daniel shook violently, lips quivering as he tried to defend himself.
"Mr. Vale, I didn't mean it. It was Clara!" "That's enough," my father said sharply, his voice ice-cold. " Shifting the blame onto someone else-is that what ten years of schooling has taught you?" He turned to the bodyguards. "Take them aside and wait. Once Rena's injuries are treated, we'll settle the score properly." The bodyguards grabbed Daniel and Clara, dragging them to the side. Clara screamed and kicked. "Let go! My parents won't forgive you!" 'The students around us had gone completely silent.
Those who had been pointing and whispering at me moments ago now kept their heads down, too afraid to meet my eyes. ---- The girls who had followed Clara in mocking me blushed bright red, slipping quietly to the back of the crowd. My father gently patted my back, his voice softening. "Rena, don't be afraid. I'm here." He bent down to examine the burn on my arm, his throat tightening with pain. "Call our family doctor right away." He said to me, "Your mother wanted to come too, but I stopped her. She couldn't bear to see you hurt.
If she'd been here, she might have fainted from worry." "I'm fine, Dad," I said. I wiped the tears from his face, a sharp ache twisting my chest. Ihad never seen him like this, so unguarded, so shaken. My father looked up at me, his eyes filled with heartache. " Rena, I failed to protect you. If I had known it would come to this, I never should have let you go to school while keeping your identity hidden." "It's not your fault." I shook my head. "I was just too naive, too trusting of people." By the time my injuries were treated, twilight had begun to settle outside.
"The Carters will be here soon." "I want to see them," I said.
