---- Chapter 7 When I woke up, three tiny sleeping babies were in the incubator beside me. Thorne was gently wiping the sweat from my body with a towel. His tall, lean frame towered over me, dark hair falling perfectly over his hypnotic crimson eyes, chiseled jawline sharp and seductive. I was about to speak when I heard a scream. It was Clara's voice. "T can't do this anymore! I don't want to birth pups- just kill me, please, end it!" "Miss Clara, hold on! It's almost over." Clara's cries mixed with the midwife's encouragements. Our birthing rooms were separated by just a wall.
She was still in labor. "Rowena, that was tough on you." Thorne kissed my forehead, his gaze full of worry, guilt, and overflowing love. ---- "Ts it too noisy here? Should I take you and the babies home for proper rest?" In my past life, after I gave birth, Jax only had eyes for the pup. He ignored my day-and-night ordeal, shoving the child into my arms right away, forcing me to nurse. Jax didn't care about my body at all. His eyes were only on the pup that could bring him power. But Thorne's focus was all on me from start to finish.

He hadn't even asked me to tend to the three little ones- he guarded them himself. "It's fine. I want to check on Clara's delivery." This time, I felt no birth pains. The three tiny babies came out so easily- I just slept through it. I got up and went to the next room, leaving Thorne to watch the children. Clara lay on the bed, crying her heart out. Each time she nearly passed out from pain, the midwife yanked her eyes open, yelling for her to stay alert. ---- Half an hour later, the child finally came out fully. When the midwife saw the child's appearance, she screamed in horror. "Monster!
Miss Clara birthed a monster!" I leaned in to look and jumped back in shock. The child had three legs and four eyes. Jax heard the commotion and burst through the door. He froze at the sight. Clara wore a loving smile. The three-legged, four- eyed monster was latched onto her, nursing with loud sucking sounds. "ugh." Jax gagged, covering his mouth and running out. Clara smirked sarcastically. "It's his own pup- how can he find it disgusting? " Word of the pack birthing a monster spread fast. It even alerted the witch healers. ---- The healer examined the drooling monster and asked Clara.
"Miss Clara, did you eat anything unusual during pregnancy? This child should have been normal." Clara's face went pale. Her right hand shook as she pulled a vial from her sleeve and handed it to the healer. "T took this. Can you save my child?" The healer didn't answer right away. She opened the vial and nodded knowingly. "This is essence from the goblin clan's fertility pods. There's an old remedy: one dose daily for thirty days guarantees pregnancy. But it shouldn't cause deformities." The mentioned goblin clan was immediately dragged in by the pack.
Clara spotted the goblin and lunged, grabbing his throat and roaring. "Why isn't my child normal? Why did he turn out ---- like this?" The goblin trembled in fear from the scene. Seeing the monster nearby, he shoved Clara away and knelt before Jax, begging. "This is clearly because Miss Clara didn't follow instructions! She must have overdosed on the pods - otherwise, it wouldn't happen!" Clara stared daggers at the goblin. "Didn't you say taking them for thirty days straight would make me pregnant?
So if I took them for sixty days, wouldn't I get twins?" tt Werewolf Rebirth: Claiming the Alpha's Throne
