Chapter 203 A Blatant Threat Lily's POV: *10 Free Cvens When Samuel walked through the door, my heart skipped a beat with nerves. He looked the same as always-impeccably dressed, handsome-but his eyes were cold and sharp, staring at me with undisguised scrutiny and pressure, I instinctively looked down, my palms sweating. Even though I had mustered the courage to come back to the company, even with Natalie sitting right beside me and giving me strength, I couldn't completely shake the primal fear he triggered.
He was a powerful Alpha and the company's vice president-someone who could easily ruin the career of a low-level employee like me. Natalie noticed my tension. Under the table, she gave my arm a gentle, reassuring pat. A wave of warm, firm strength flowed from her. I took a deep breath, trying to relax. I couldn't back down now. Natalie was facing him directly for my sake. I couldn't let her down, Samuel sat down. He was even smiling. His smile, which suggested he had everything under control, sent a chill down my spine. He definitely thought we were powerless against him.
Then, I heard Natalie's voice, clear and cold. She laid out two choices directly, without any beating around the bush. She even mentioned "making it public" and "the board of directors." I stared at Natalie, shocked. Was she really going this far to stand up for me? This would put her squarely against Samuel and Penelope. The smile vanished from Samuel's face. He stared at Natalie as if he was truly seeing her for the first time. "Natalie, what are you talking about?" Samuel asked, using his usual tactic-playing dumb and denying everything.

"I don't understand a word you're saying" Natalie didn't waste words on him. She directly picked up the screenshots of our chat logs and the bits of audio recordings I had provided evidence I had secretly kept to protect myself when I was terrified. "You sexually harassed my staff member and instigated her to steal my project data, Samuel," Natalie said, her voice quiet but carrying immense weight. "You've seriously violated pack rules." Samuel glanced at the evidence, then his venomous gaze swept over to me.
"You told on me?" His voice was deceptively soft, laced with danger His look sent a chill through me. I opened my mouth, but no sound came out. Samuel's POV: 1/2 18:14 Tue, Jan 6 TL! Chapter 203 A Blatant Threat +10 Free Coins Seeing Lily's timid yet feigned composure, I was overcome with fury. This woman was a great actress! She was the one who betrayed me and now it looked like I was the bully. "This evidence proves nothing," I sneered, trying to regain control. I turned my gaze to the visibly nervous HR manager. "I was just teasing er.
I didn't think she'd take it so seriously." I slowed my speech, adopting a tone of mild exasperation, as if this was just harmless joking between colleagues. "Our company has always had a human touch. ffice romances are permitted, as long as they're reported." I spread my hands, that confident smile back on my face as I looked at Lily, my eyes holding a warning. "I'm reporting it now. I want to pursue Lily. So her accusations are really just a private matter between us. She is just shy and misunderstood." Thinking on my feet had always been my strength.
Reframing harassment as courtship and twisting coercion into a personal matter was the quickest way out. The HR manager visibly relaxed, seeming to find this explanation much more palatable. Natalie's POV: Watching Samuel's shameless performance, I sneered. He had chosen the most despicable way to weasel out of this. "Is this 'pursuing' or workplace harassment?" I shot back, not giving an inch, my voice icy. "Shall we call Legal in to discuss it?" Did he really think he could blur the lines with "office romance"? Dream on! Samuel's face became terrible. He stood up, seeming to lose patience.
"We're practically family, Natalie. Why are you making this so difficult for me?" He tried to use our familial connection to soften me, but his eyes remained reezing cold. "Even if this goes further, I might get a slap on the wrist. But Lily's reputation would be ruined." His gaze swept meaningfully over Lily, the threat obvious. Lily's eyes instantly welled up with tears. She looked at me, helpless. She was still too young and too easily intimidated by such words. Seeing her reaction, a flicker of satisfaction crossed Samuel's face, as if he'd regained some control.
He leaned closer to Lily, his voice dropping to a menacing whisper that hissed through his teeth. "Lily, if you have the guts, sue me. And you'd better be very careful about how you do your job here from now on. Natalie can't protect you forever." This was a blatant threat! His arrogance finally pushed me over the edge. stood up abruptly. "Samuel, did you already forget what I told you in the conference room?" My voice trembled with suppressed fury. The aura around me instantly became intensely oppressive, making even the HR manager flinch and shrink back in her seat. 2/2 admin
